Toya Qualls-Barnette, a native Californian, is an emerging writer with a B.A. degree in Communications, Public Relations, from Pepperdine University, Malibu who began her writing journey, blogging four years ago to save her soul and sanity after her mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. She has published in three Chicken Soup for the Soul editions: Grieving, Loss, and Healing (February 2022), My Wonderful Wacky Family, (November 2022) also chosen for their podcast, and Miracles, Angels and Messages from Heaven (September 2024). She currently lives with her family in Northern California–working on a romance/mystery novel.
